Senior captain Emma Scheumann scored early in the contest between Norwell and Bellmont Tuesday night and the visiting Braves’ defense made the goal count in a 1-0 victory in one of the most important fixtures on the Bellmont schedule. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scheumann’s early shot was the only one of nine shots on goal that got past Norwell keeper Gracie Rinkenberger in the 80 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sophomore Lilly Alberding had the assist on Scheumann’s goal. Senior Carly Gilbert led the team with seven shots, but none of them could beat Rinkenberger to give the Braves a more comfortable lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norwell will travel to Jay County Thursday, while Bellmont travels to Concordia Wednesday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
