{"id":5844,"date":"2023-08-29T13:19:47","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T17:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=5844"},"modified":"2023-08-29T13:19:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T17:19:49","slug":"former-adams-county-man-named-sro-in-batesville","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2023\/08\/29\/former-adams-county-man-named-sro-in-batesville\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Adams County man named SRO in Batesville"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Former Decatur police officer and Adams Central graduate Austin Gross has been named Lead Student Resource Officer (SRO) for the Batesville Community School Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was sworn in by Batesville Police Chief Stan Holt (photo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gross is a member of the Greensburg Police Department, serving some five years. Part of my job on the GPD is that I am in charge of all of our training for the department and I\u2019m also in charge of any new officer that we get.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Austin is the son of Chris and April Gross and the grandson of Joan Gross of Decatur. He and his wife, Nicole, are the parents of two children.
