It was a dominating performance for the Norwell Knights on their home course Saturday morning with three girls shooting 90 or better, including Ellie Gatton, who took medalist honors with an 82, helping her team to a Bi-County title at Timber Ridge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hosts bettered Bellmont by a whopping 53 strokes for the victory, shooting an impressive 349. Anna Dodane was third overall for the Knights with an 86 and Emmy Heaston tied for fourth with a 90. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meghan Pettibone scored a top-five finish for Bellmont Saturday. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Meghan Pettibone played her best golf of the season for Bellmont, leading them to a team-runner up finish and tying for fourth with Heaston with a 90. Pettibone was great on the front nine, shooting a +6 41. She made par on holes three through eight for a great run of play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our team score on the front of 192 is our best for a regular-length course this year,” noted Bellmont head coach Mike Macke. “The girls are having more fun out there and it’s showing.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellmont took second place in the Bi-County Invite Saturday. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Macke also explained that the tournament director, Kelby Weybright, did great work in keeping the pace of play up, noting that the girls played their rounds in roughly 3.5 hours. He called it the fastest 18-hole tournament he had ever been involved with in his long career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kate Moser had a fine round for the Adams Central Jets, breaking 100 with a solid back nine for a 51-47 round of 98. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addy Hinton was cruising through the front nine for the South Adams Starfires, shooting 45 with a couple of nice holes on the par threes. She finished with an even 100 to lead the team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
