Meghan Pettibone continued her solid play Monday night as the Bellmont Braves attempted to knock off a tough Concordia team, playing their match at the short McMillen course and hitting from the men’s tees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellmont shot a team season-best 189 in the match, but the Cadets were superior, winning 175-189. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Even though it’s a par 33, the girls played those tees, so there were no short Par 4s and one of them really could be considered a Par 5 for high school girls,” noted head coach Mike Macke, who also pointed out that three of the Par 3s played at over 150 yards Monday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pettibone finished her night with a 42, even bogey, with four pars on her card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It was another good round for Meghan,” said Macke. “Her ball striking continues to improve and she’s starting to capitalize on her short game.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krosbi Butler had three pars and carded a 48. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“She played several good holes,” Macke noted. “She has become a pretty dependable player at No. 4.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. 5 Addi Johnson also played her best golf of the year, turning in her lowest score ever on nine holes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Best round ever tonight,” said Macke. “It was really good to see her have fun on the course.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
