The award recipient is chosen by a committee at Adams Health Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each honoree receives a certificate commending her or him as an \u201cExtraordinary Nurse.\u201d The certificate reads: \u201cIn deep appreciation of all you do, who you are and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chosen nurse also receives a DAISY Award pin and a sculpture called A Healer\u2019s Touch, hand-carved by artists of the Shona tribe in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AMH&#8217;s chief nursing officer Chris Butler says on an Adams Memorial Hospital website, \u201cNurses are heroes every day.
