Five available members of the council received their patches and were recognized at a Thursday night concert on the Madison St. Plaza in late July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"209\" height=\"288\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/98.158.76.108\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/unnamed-4.jpg?resize=209%2C288\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5419\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The students met twice a month and were required to attend two city council meetings and one meeting each of the Adams County Economic Development board and the city-county park board. They also participated in some non-school projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re trying to listen to our young people. We want to keep them here.
