{"id":41192,"date":"2026-10-14T18:31:22","date_gmt":"2026-10-14T22:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=41192"},"modified":"2026-10-14T18:31:24","modified_gmt":"2026-10-14T22:31:24","slug":"one-way-in-stratton-again-key-dates-set","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2026\/10\/14\/one-way-in-stratton-again-key-dates-set\/","title":{"rendered":"One-way in Stratton again; key dates set"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traffic in Stratton Addition in Decatur will be limited to one way on trick-or-treat night again this year, approval of same recently given by city council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">City-wide trick or treating is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, 5:30-7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given the large amount of traffic seen in that housing addition on the special night, the safety change was approved after once again being proposed by Nan Everett, representing the housing addition&#8217;s Home Owners Association (HOA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"635\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Stratton-Addition.jpg?resize=635%2C478&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Stratton-Addition.jpg?w=635&amp;ssl=1 635w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Stratton-Addition.jpg?resize=300%2C226&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This will mark the fourth year for the one-way restriction, which will be in effect from 5 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt&#8217;s for the safety of the kids,\u201d Everett said in the past. \u201cThere are tons and tons of traffic (on that night).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some other key upcoming dates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The annual Callithumpian Parade will start at 6:57 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, traveling west across the Macklin Bridge, then turning south on Second St. downtown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Trick or Treat at Safety Park is set for 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Adams County Park and Rec&#8217;s numerous fall break activities begin next Sunday, Oct. 18.
