{"id":4027,"date":"2023-07-06T09:00:36","date_gmt":"2023-07-06T13:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=4027"},"modified":"2023-07-06T10:38:47","modified_gmt":"2023-07-06T14:38:47","slug":"changing-venues-was-no-easy-task-for-amh-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2023\/07\/06\/changing-venues-was-no-easy-task-for-amh-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"Changing venues was no easy task for AMH staff"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hospital officials had to hustle hard<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adams Memorial Hospital is in the business of healing people, and a group of its officials pulled off a minor miracle Monday evening with its presentation of a performance by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic (see photo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As many preparations had been and were being made at the Madison St. Plaza for an outdoor performance, the word came down from Philharmonic officials that they were concerned about popup showers and wanted to move their show into the Erekson Theater in Bellmont High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DDDMaintenanceandReapir\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"366\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/98.158.76.108\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DDD_Maintenance_BC_4-23_for_AD-2-1024x585.jpg?resize=640%2C366\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-954\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DDD_Maintenance_BC_4-23_for_AD-2.jpg?resize=1024%2C585&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DDD_Maintenance_BC_4-23_for_AD-2.jpg?resize=300%2C171&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DDD_Maintenance_BC_4-23_for_AD-2.jpg?resize=768%2C439&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DDD_Maintenance_BC_4-23_for_AD-2.jpg?w=1050&amp;ssl=1 1050w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The venue change gave local officials little more than 4 \u00bd hours to make the move to the school before people were due to start arriving at 6 p.m. for free hot dogs and root beer floats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sprint was on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As people began arriving at Bellmont, however, everything \u2013 setting up tables and chairs, food preparation, etc. \u2013 was mostly ready to go. And then, on top of everything, the hospital officials were literally swamped by the number of people showing up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tables and chairs were quickly filled, with a long line of folks still waiting to get in, plus another long line for the food.
