The Bellmont Braves will head into Thursday’s showdown with the talented Northrop Bruins on a high after beating Huntington North Tuesday, 3-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three different goal scorers gave coach Lee and coach Skaggs the start they needed on the turf in Huntington. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashley Bleke opened the scoring with a goal on a corner in the tenth minute, her third of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 35th minute, Oni Krueckeberg notched her team-high ninth goal of the season to make it 2-0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Braves conceded just their second conference goal of the season at 50′, but Madyson Snyder had the last laugh, scoring in the 79th minute to seal the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bellmont JV team won their game, 1-0, on a goal by freshman striker Fiona Schwartz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans of the Braves can hear the team in their big showdown against the Bruins. It will be quite a challenge for Bellmont, considering some of the scores so far for Northrop, beating DeKalb (8-0), Concordia Lutheran (4-2) and Bishop Dwenger (3-0). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
