The Bellmont Braves’ win over Homestead in last year’s 4A sectional was a memorable one and a 4-11 Bellmont team nearly pulled off a similar surprise Tuesday night in the Teepee before falling in five. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The home Braves won the second and the third set, but could not maintain the momentum in the fourth. A fifth set was all Homestead as the Spartans pushed their record to 6-1 on the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belle Gumbel led the Braves again in kills with 16. The junior was lethal in her 23 attempts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashlyn Baumann had a nice night, as well, with nine kills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Averie Coats led the Braves with 17 digs. Classmate Taylor Sutter made three aces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
