The usual sterling performance by The Bulldogs, a huge crowd, and a car show on Thursday brought down the curtain on the Decatur Chamber of Commerce’s scheduled 2026 Summer Concert Series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entertainment isn’t over, however.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adams County Memorial Hospital’s annual Senior Living event is on tap next Thursday on the Madison St. Plaza, followed a week later by Derek Jones & 50 South, a Chamber concert rescheduled a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per usual, The Bulldogs attracted a crowd which filled the plaza Thursday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It marked the ninth consecutive year (correction from an earlier story) the Fort Wayne-based band has played the summer series. In fact, there have now been nine years or concerts and nine years of Bulldogs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band’s history goes back over 30 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were known as Spike & the Bulldogs for years, then became simply The Bulldogs after Spike retired in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weather, which has caused some problems with the Chamber series this year, was ideal Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chamber’s annual Motorsports Festival also was on Thursday’s entertainment card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
