Lehmann, 88, of Berne, IN, passed away at 2:45 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Thursday, April 21, 1938, in Jay County to Floyd \u201cWhitey\u201d and Josephine E. (Walter) Baker. Virginia married Eugene Lehmann on Saturday, August 22, 1959, in Berne, IN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Virginia was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. She attended Bryant Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and decorating cookies, assisted local Amish with transportation, and will be remembered for the love and care she shared with her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Virginia will be forever missed by her husband, Eugene Carl Lehmann, Berne, IN, daughters, Rhonda (Craig) Steiner, Fort Wayne, IN, Luann (Pat) Briede, Decatur, IN, Rose (Mario) Guereca, Berne, IN, son, Mark (Kerri) Lehmann, Berne, IN, sister, Mary Jane (Russell) Nichols, Berne, IN, son-in-law, Steve Jones, Geneva, IN, 23 grandchildren, and 46 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was preceded in death by her daughter; Nancy Jones, grandson; David Jones, grandson; Matthew Beavers; great granddaughter Natalie Roll, great grandson Graceson Edwards, great grandson; Allen Roll, and great grandson; Axel Roll<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Family and friends may gather to share memories and celebrate Virginia\u2019s life at Downing &amp; Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva, IN 46740, on Wednesday August 19, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A service to celebrate Virginia\u2019s life will be held at Downing &amp; Glancy Funeral Home at 2:30 P.M. on August 20, 2026, with viewing an hour prior to service, with Pastor Paul VanCise officiating. Interment will follow at Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Memorial Donations can be made to Gideons International<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arrangements are being handled by Downing &amp; Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Virginia L.
