{"id":37969,"date":"2026-08-04T11:56:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T15:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=37969"},"modified":"2026-08-04T11:56:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T15:56:23","slug":"roger-whisman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/04\/roger-whisman\/","title":{"rendered":"Roger Whisman"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.tukioswebsites.com\/02d97199-7bca-4fee-adcf-8183b4d0f984\/lg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:272px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roger Alan Whisman, 78, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Summit City Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roger was born on June 17, 1948, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to the late Porter and Frieda Whisman,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was united in marriage to Trina Rogers on March 22, 2025, in Decatur, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roger proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he spent many years as a truck driver.
