50 South return to the Madison St. Plaza Thursday as the Decatur Chamber&#8217;s 2026 Summer Concert Series moves into August, the final month on its music calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jones and his band will perform from 7-9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will mark Jones&#8217; The 50 South was named the Country Music Organization&#8217;s Band of the Year for 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to four years spent touring alongside Billy Ray Cyrus, Jones says he has shared stages with Charlie Daniels, Trace Adkins, Dwight Yoakam, Ashley McBryde, Jamey Johnson, Whiskey Myers, Phil Vassar and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2021 release of his EP \u201cLast of a Dying Breed\u201d debuted at No. 3 on iTunes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By BOB SHRALUKA WZBD.com Derek Jones &amp;
