Nussbaum, 90, of Berne, Indiana, passed away Wednesday morning, June 17, 2026, at Swiss Village in Berne, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was born on May 6, 1936, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Clyde and Ruth (Nichol) Keeney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Edna was united in marriage to Elroy R. Nussbaum on May 29, 1955, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lg-81.jpg?resize=640%2C800&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37521\" style=\"width:266px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lg-81.jpg?w=819&amp;ssl=1 819w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lg-81.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lg-81.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was a member of Berne Evangelical Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and various Bible Studies over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Edna previously served as the secretary to Pastors at Berne Evangelical Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She had a love for singing and sang in the choir with the Swiss Village Singers. Edna loved her family and treasured her various travels to see her kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl L. (Rick) Hoffman of Johnstown, Colorado; daughter, Teresa D. (David) Unkefer of St. Augustine, Florida; daughter, Suzanne K. Loshe of Decatur, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Amy (Doug) Cash, Lauren Unkefer, Andrew (Kelsey) Unkefer, Sarah-Kate Unkefer, Matt (Laura) Loshe, Amber (Ryan) Landis, Jared (Kiesha) Anderson, April Anderson, Ashley (Rob) Plummer, and Jason (Natalie) Anderson; and sixteen great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Anderson; grandson, Jonathan Hewitt; and two great-grandsons, Dayvien Wheeler and Isaac Anderson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at Berne Evangelical Church in Berne, Indiana, with Pastor Bruce Rocke officiating. Burial will follow at Berne Evangelical Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Swiss Village Chapel and also from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preferred memorials may be given to Berne Evangelical Church \u2013 Mission Fund.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Edna I.
