Downtown Decatur Day becomes Downtown Decatur Days this weekend with all manner of events being kicked off Friday night on the Madison St. Plaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hours are 6-9 Friday (for Singo) and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decatur Main St. sponsors the event each year and says this year’s celebration will be the biggest yet, including a car show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Main Street organization, downtown merchants will have sales specials \u2013 some on the sidewalks \u2013 and local restaurants will be offering food and drink specials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be no admission charged except for a $5 wristband to enter Saturday’s kid zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food and drink will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singo games \u2013 a mix between bingo and music \u2013 get the festivities started Friday night, with kid-themed games at 6 and adult-themed games to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Saturday activities will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kids Zone is scheduled to be open from 10 to 2. A $5 wristband will be required for each child,.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Car show awards will be presented at 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIKE PRIZES: Decatur Main Street is selling tickets in a raffle for two Fuji electric bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bikes are valued at a total of $3,500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The raffle also features $500 an $250 cash prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are $20 each and just 500 will be sold, Main Street said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are available at City Hall and from Main Streeter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public restroom areas are highlighted in green and are available at the plaza, at Decatur Cityh Hall, Adams Public Library (until 1 p.m.) and D-Town Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
