Running from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., the lineup includes more vendors, more food and beverage choices, and a longer entertainment lineup. This year’s growing event directly reflects the 2026 theme, ensuring local LGBTQIA+ community members and allies know they belong.

“The LGBTQIA+ community in Adams County is ingrained in all aspects of life from queer couples with children enrolled at local schools to the many queer individuals who work and live here. What makes Adams County great is the sense that we all are here for each other as a community. The queer community lives here, works here, and most importantly belongs here,” Nikki Ausland, Decatur Pride President said.

Family Friendly

Thanks to generous community sponsorship, Decatur Pride will once again feature a free Kids’ Zone. This year’s expanded children’s activities include a foam pit, arts and crafts, while volunteers with the Adams Public Library System are bringing a button maker for guests to make custom buttons. The entertainment lineup is also family-friendly, so the entire family feels welcome throughout the festival.

Entertainment Lineup

The evening’s mainstage entertainment kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with the festival’s highly anticipated drag show featuring well-known performers such as: Alex Rinay, Joey Knight, Binxx, Kylie Aphrodite, Dixxie Licious, Maya Pinion and Aijaye Finesse. Following the performance, DJ Kurt will take over the stage, spinning music and closing out the night with a community dance party. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for seating during the performance.

Food, Refreshments and Vendors

Food and beverage trucks will be stationed along First Street. Additionally, Two Brothers Bar and Restaurant returns as the festival’s exclusive bartender, serving up crowd favorites and colorful signature drinks. As a reminder, no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed and only adults 21+ with state-issued ID will be served.

On the plaza, attendees can explore a diverse lineup of vendors, ranging from local nonprofits and advocacy groups to regional political candidates, alongside booths selling unique games and handmade one-of-a-kind artwork.

Logistics, Admission, and Entry Updates

To help offset event costs and ensure the longevity of the festival, a minimal $2 cover charge will be implemented for adults this year, while children under age 10 enter for free. Organizers have also updated the festival layout for improved flow and safety:

Main Entrance: All attendees must enter the festival grounds off of 1st Street. The plaza will be inaccessible from 2nd Street or other previous entry points.

Wristbands: Every attendee will receive a wristband upon entry, which must be worn throughout the event and is mandatory for re-entry.

Food Truck Access: The food vendors on 1st Street are located outside the main admission gates and are accessible to the general public. Festival-goers can easily exit to visit the food trucks and re-enter the main plaza by showing their wristband.

“The 2025 Decatur Pride Festival was one of the largest events ever on Madison Street Plaza which sent a clear message that events like this are not only needed, they are wanted. We encourage everyone to help us show the LGBTQIA+ community here that they belong by joining us for the second ever Decatur Pride—whether you identify as a queer person or consider yourself an ally—we hope you will join us,” said Decatur Pride board member Sabastian Hathaway.

Decatur Pride invites the community to join in on the fun of celebrating and supporting the local LGBTQIA+ community from 3 to 10 p.m. on June 27th at the Madison Street Plaza.

…….

Decatur Pride is a local nonprofit focused on celebrating, supporting, and uplifting the area LGBTQIA+ community.
