class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Work is scheduled to begin Thursday on the trail around the ball diamonds at the REV Sports Complex in Decatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parks Superintendent Cara Gerber said Asphalt Authority of Fort Wayne will be doing the project and should be completed around the following Tuesday, June 2, weather permitting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work will include milling (removing) the asphalt to a depth of two inches and resurfacing, plus cleaning and sealing all major cracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"163\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The REV Complex opened in May of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later this year, Asphalt Authority will turn its attention to the Rivergreenway Trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That project will be done in an area starting by the Kekionga boat launch, which is where new trail work concluded a couple of years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"615\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A total of 1,175 feet of trail will be milled to a depth of 1.5 feet and resurfaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gerber said a date for the trail project is unknown at this time as it will depend on other work Asphalt Authority has scheduled for the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trail is nearly 4.75 miles in
