Susdorf, 90, of Decatur, Indiana passed away early Monday morning, May 18, 2026, at her residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born on October 29, 1935 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Guy and Goldie (Hostetler) Endsley. She was united in marriage to William J. \u201cBill\u201d Susdorf on November 1, 1953 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"799\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/lg-72.jpg?resize=640%2C799&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36874\" style=\"width:350px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/lg-72.jpg?w=820&amp;ssl=1 820w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/lg-72.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/lg-72.jpg?resize=768%2C959&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Shirley was a member of Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church where she was charge conference secretary for many years. She was also member of the Root Township home economics club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She worked for Brotherhood Mutual Insurance as a secretary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and General Telephone Company. Shirley then retired after 30 years from North Adams Community Schools as Central Office Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She liked crocheting, reading books; and she spent many hours playing Sudoku where she became an \u201cAll Star\u201d in the eyes of the family. She found relaxation by doing ceramics, where she made many different creations, but Santa Clauses were her favorite to make. She enjoyed riding around the farm and on trails on ATV\u2019s, she was an adventuresome Grandma. Shirley loved to travel with her family while her children were young, they traveled just about every Summer, visiting many different places, she continued the tradition of traveling with her grandson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Stanley) Roth of Allendale, Michigan; son, Steven Susdorf of Willshire, Ohio; grandson, Shawn (Stephanie) Roth of Fruitport, Michigan; and great-grandchildren, Audrina and Cam Roth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon Endsley, Rodger (Carol) Endsley, and Jack (Nancy) Endsley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana with Pastor John McCullough officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Zwick &amp; Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memorials can be given to Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shirley J.
