A good night at the plate and eight runs scored against a good Woodlan team were simply not enough to overcome a whopping ten errors by the Adams Central Jets Friday night in Woodburn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a day after perhaps their most satisfying victory of the year (beating South Adams 5-4), the Jets struggled defensively, with several guys playing in different positions than normal with a short bench. The errors cost Adams Central eight unearned runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defensive miscues did not afford Chandler Voglewede the opportunity to make it out of the second inning, as the AC starter left with two outs in the second. He was replaced by Jordan Scheiner, who got the final out and pitched the third and fourth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colston Pruitt threw the final two innings for the Jets and allowed just one unearned run, while striking out four. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jets had a perfect night at the plate from Penn Shifferly, who went 3-for-3 in the No. 9 spot in the lineup, driving in two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barrett Collier also had a double and a single and drove in two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
