The Decatur Daily Democrat, Adams County’s longest-running print newspaper, announced on its front page Saturday that it will cut its printing schedule to three days a week in two weeks time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement, which mentioned a move to “expanded print editions”, noted that the change will begin on June 2nd, meaning subscribers will no longer receive a Wednesday paper on June 3rd or a Friday paper on June 5th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newspaper dropped Monday editions many years ago, dropping to five days a week. In the last ten years, the Democrat, which is owned by Horizon Publications, has dropped direct delivery and switched to distribution by the USPS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
