What was once green shall be green again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An issue with what was sprayed on Worthman Field and around Riverside Center has turned grass from green to brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But not to worry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything has been reseeded \u201cso we hope to see green grass again in a week,\u201d Parks Superintendent Cara Gerber said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOTS OF FUN: Various summer camps in Decatur have been announced by the parks and recreation department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning Monday, June 8, 10 different classes for various age groups will be held each Monday through the first of August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those interested must pre-register at Riverside Center and should note that classes are limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are the classes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Painting with Ruth Green<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basics of pickleball<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fishing camp
Ice cream and rock painting<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matchbox and car races<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn to paddle board, kayak and canoe<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lifeguard camp<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hair curling<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn to build a cardboard boat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POOL PAINTING: Kohne Painting recently went to work on the city pool to get it ready for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pool’s scheduled opening day is Saturday, June 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
