Bellmont sophomore Mary Bleke captured the NE8 shot put title Friday at Huntington North. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After missing the end of last season with an injury that kept her from competing for the title as a freshman, Bleke didn’t even need her season best to take first place in the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She finished just short of 38 feet, which is better than any other female thrower from Adams County this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landon Sielschott had a nice night for the Bellmont boys, matching his career best in the pole vault and setting a new personal mark in the 800. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
