Another attempt at bringing a shot clock to high school basketball in Indiana failed again this week, according to a press release Monday by the IHSAA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Association noted that just 24% of administrators were in favor of adding the shot clock to the state’s traditional powerhouse sport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a series of meetings in April, only 79 administrators expressed support for adding the shot clock and paying an additional person for every home game. 245 admins were opposed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proposal by the IBCA was for a 35-second shot clock to be used in varsity play for both boys and girls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The IHSAA board voted 1-17 in favor of the proposal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
