Cameron Summers played a one-over 37 to lead the Bellmont Braves to a win in the annual county tri-meet Thursday at Wabash Valley. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellmont beat South Adams by 12 and Adams Central by 21 strokes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teeing off on the front nine, Summers carded eight pars, with his only bogey coming on the tough par-four sixth hole. Interestingly, the Braves may have secured the win on the night with their performance on that sixth hole. The five varsity players were a combined +2 on the night on the sixth, while Adams Central went +6 and South Adams went +5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Braves played clean golf throughout the night, avoiding the big numbers hole after hole. They only recorded two holes of triple bogey or worse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adams Central’s Drew Johnson was just a stroke behind Summers with a 38. He was joined by two more Bellmont Braves, No. 1 Chase Baker and No. 2 Jacob Binegar, at that same mark. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Liechty had a pair of birdies in his round to lead the Starfires with a 41. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
