Adams County property owners paid their property taxes on time this year in near record numbers.  WZBD&#8217;s Ed Thurman spoke with Ed Dyer, Adams County Treasurer, about how that affects county government and found that it affects it in a very positive manner&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"http:\/\/98.158.76.108\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/702_0561.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dyer says Adams County residents are among the best in the state at paying their property taxes&#8230;and paying them on time!  He says local taxpayers should be proud of that record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, with the July 4th holiday falling on a Tuesday this year, the Adams County Commissioners have decided to cancel their meeting that week rather than moving their weekly meeting back a day.  There <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>will<\/strong><\/span> be a meeting of the Commissioners next week on June 27, but they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>won&#8217;t<\/strong><\/span> meet again until July 11.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spring property taxes were due in Indiana by May 10.
