A tight, scoreless game between the Carroll Chargers and the Bellmont Braves after four innings turned into a 4-0 win for the visitors as they hit two late home runs and Charger starter Taylor Danley struck out 13. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danley limited the home team to just three hits – all of them singles to the middle of the order – and walked none in a 101-pitch complete game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freshman hurler Adi Radecki was up to the task early of matching Danley for the Braves. She held the Chargers to just three hits in the first four innings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scoreless contest was broken open in the fifth with a solo home run by Taylor Patterson to left. Radecki got the next two batters out on just three pitches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danley came back out firing, striking out two in the next half inning before delivering a big blow with a two-out RBI single to left to make it 2-0. Danley later scored on a double. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Braves went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the sixth and Alexis Pee added a home run to center for the visitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danley struck out the final two batters to finish off the Braves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellmont will play three games in their annual Kokomo tournament this coming weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
