{"id":35860,"date":"2026-04-20T15:23:59","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T19:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=35860"},"modified":"2026-04-20T15:24:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T19:24:00","slug":"free-breast-cancer-screenings-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/20\/free-breast-cancer-screenings-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Free breast cancer screenings available"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Free breast screenings are available at Adams Memorial Hospital for certain eligible women, the hospital has announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding is once again available through the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust (IBCAT) grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grant allows the hospital to offer free screenings and diagnostic mammograms, breast MRI exams, breast ultrasounds, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, the announcement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, all imaging will be read by a board-certified physician from Summit Radiology Group in Fort Wayne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The services are available to area women who meet specific financial eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you believe you may qualify, you can apply by calling the AMH Central Scheduling Department: (260) 724-2145, ext. 11047,\u201d the hospital said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IBCAT grant is funded through the sale of Indiana\u2019s Breast Cancer Awareness license plates, available online or at any Indiana BMV location.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free breast screenings are available at Adams Memorial Hospital for certain eligible women, the hospital has announced.
