Hicks, age 72, of Portland passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2026 in IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.&nbsp;&nbsp;She was born in Decatur, Indiana on November 29, 1953 the daughter of Marion \u201cJake\u201d and Joy Ann (Garlinger) Armantrout.&nbsp;&nbsp;She was married on July 26, 1975 to Edward Hicks who survives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"312\" height=\"356\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Judith-Hicks.jpg?resize=312%2C356&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Judith-Hicks.jpg?w=312&amp;ssl=1 312w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Judith-Hicks.jpg?resize=263%2C300&amp;ssl=1 263w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 312px) 100vw, 312px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Judy had worked for Berne Apparel and Tyson Foods.&nbsp;&nbsp;She was a 1973 Bryant High School graduate and enjoyed camping, dancing and the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surviving is her husband of 50 years Edward Hicks, one son Edward B. Hicks of Portland, one daughter Amanda Fisher-Hicks of Winchester, one brother Bill Armantrout (wife Rosemary) of Portland, one sister Sharon Pensinger of Geneva, four grandchildren Alivia, Blake, Abigail and Addison who meant the world to her.&nbsp;&nbsp;She also has several aunts, uncles and cousins surviving. She was preceded in death by a daughter Christina Hicks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral services will be on Friday April 17<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;at 1:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Flint Redwine presiding.&nbsp;&nbsp;Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 \u2013 7:00 PM and one hour prior to services on Friday.&nbsp;&nbsp;Memorials can be directed to the Hicks family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online condolences at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bairdfreeman.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.bairdfreeman.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Judith A.
