Commissioners delay judicial system changes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Adams County Commissioners have again delayed plans to build, consolidate, or expand facilities for law enforcement and the judicial system in the county.  After considering several ideas to consolidate the judicial system into the county government complex or at the county jail, the Commissioners are now asking planners to come up with another idea of ways to improve the earlier plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commissioner Stan Stoppenhagen led the call to delay moving forward on other proposals, and spoke with Ed Thurman&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Stan-Stoppenhagen-3-25-26.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Commissioners Doug Bauman and Steve Bailey agreed with the idea.  Bauman added that it&#8217;s a huge issue that has been discussed before, but needs even more discussion&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Doug-Bauman-3-25-26.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent cost estimate to use the government center topped $20 million.
