It was a night full of secrets, surprises and twists as 39 people participated in Decatur Main Street’s recent Evening of Intrigue: A Murder Mystery Dinner Scavenger Hunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom the moment guests walked in, they weren\u2019t just watching the story, they were part of it,\u201d said Main Street Executive Director Taylor Braun. \u201cEveryone stepped into character as the evening unfolded, with hidden motives, suspicious interactions, and plenty of shocking moments along the way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-night event with a 1950s theme was held at the Pennsy Depot in Decatur, with 15 participants attending on a Friday night and 24 the next night \u2013 tickets for the latter were sold out in less than a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner and drinks were part of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone stepped into character as the evening unfolded, with hidden motives, suspicious interactions, and plenty of shocking moments along the way, Braun said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs dinner was served, clues began to connect, accusations started flying, and the mystery slowly came together,\u201d Braun said. \u201cThe room was filled with laughter as guests leaned into their roles, talked through theories, and worked together to figure out what really happened.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEach scene brought something new, and just when it felt like the mystery was solved, another twist kept things interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Braun, the event wouldn\u2019t have been possible without the generous support of Adams Memorial Hospital. \u201cTheir continued support of community events helps create fun, unique experiences like this for everyone to enjoy,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Braun also expressed appreciation for those who attended: \u201cYour energy, creativity, and willingness to jump into the mystery made the nights truly special. By the end, the culprit was
revealed, the case was closed, and the room filled with applause and celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c There\u2019s only one question left: when\u2019s the next mystery?\u201d
