The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) is pleased to announce that Junior Achievement (JA) has been awarded a grant for serving Bellmont and Adams Central 4th grade students.\u00a0Junior Achievement teaches courses that foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adams Central and Bellmont fourth grade students participated in the Junior Achievement Our Region course, which introduces fourth-grade students to entrepreneurship and upper elementary grades social studies learning objectives, including regions, resources, and supply chains. Students learn how to differentiate between entrepreneurial skills, recognize how entrepreneurs use resources, and how trade leads to economic interdependence among nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sara Schafer, Development Director for Junior Achievement, noted that Junior Achievement is grateful to the ACCF for providing this support, which has helped fund the JA Our Region programming.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n Cathy Stucky, ACCF Board member and grants committee member, noted that the ACCF is very supportive of Junior Achievement and their effort to educate students with the JA courses led by local community leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These ACCF grants were made possible through unrestricted fund sponsored by the Victor B. & Kristine Porter and Reiny & Mariann Selking Family Enrichment Funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/98.158.76.108\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bellmont-4th-grade-JA-1-1024x513.jpg?resize=640%2C321\")
