The name \u201cKrueckeberg\u201d is widely known for its auctions and real estate work. Recently, though, the Decatur business was also involved in some rescue work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Bellmont High School’s Brave Generation show choir was gearing up for travel for competition, it was without a way to transport its equipment due to an issue with its large trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So Krueckeberg Auction & Realty, through former Bellmonter Trevor Gray, stepped up with the loan of a trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 31, the first day of the current show choir competition season, the Brave Generation’s trailer had an issue on a snowy road and needed repairs, according to BGs Director Jaime Macklin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facing a trip to Chesterton, the BGs were without a necessity \u2013 a trailer. A parent said they could secure a trailer, but that fell through at the last minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy sister actually put out a post on Facebook about us needing one and it was shared a ton!\u201d Macklin explained. \u201cI had so many people and businesses reach out willing to help with either lending us equipment or sponsoring us to rent a trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrevor Gray with Krueckeberg is a former student and he emailed and was able to drop one off …\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trailer Gray \u2013 a vice president, auctioneer, and real estate broker with the Krueckeberg firm \u2013 brought was 14 or 16 feet long while the BGs’ trailer is a 20-footer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo we had to put some stuff in the back of the truck and on the bus, but we made it work,\u201d Macklin exclaimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident with the trailer was noted at the recent city council meeting by Councilman Matt Dyer, who has a daughter in the show choir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJosh (Krueckeberg) and Trevor really stepped up and helped the school,\u201d Dyer said. \u201cThanks for all you do to help our city and our school.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
