{"id":3251,"date":"2023-06-07T10:10:54","date_gmt":"2023-06-07T14:10:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=3251"},"modified":"2023-06-07T10:13:05","modified_gmt":"2023-06-07T14:13:05","slug":"three-big-days-in-downtown-decatur-coming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2023\/06\/07\/three-big-days-in-downtown-decatur-coming\/","title":{"rendered":"Three big days in downtown Decatur coming"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Downtown Decatur will be hustlin&#8217; and bustlin&#8217; the latter part of this week with three major events scheduled on consecutive days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It all begins Thursday night on the Madison St. Plaza, with annually one of the most popular bands in the Summer Concert Series, the Sweetwater All-Stars, performing. Friday, the city will put on its annual Sculpture Tour downtown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, Saturday evening, it&#8217;s back to the plaza for the annual Connor Brite&#8217;s Wildflowers benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sweetwater All-Star Band will open at 6 p.m. Thursday and play until 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intermission will feature Jayleena Hill (photo), a 14-year-old Bellmont High School student. She will be performing during intermission at Thursday&#8217;s event on Madison Street. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lola Spanks and the Pinkeyes were a big hit when they performed at intermission on opening night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;12th annual Sculpture Tour will be held in and around the courthouse square downtown Friday.
