{"id":31627,"date":"2025-12-23T16:02:58","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T21:02:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=31627"},"modified":"2025-12-23T16:03:00","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T21:03:00","slug":"safety-security-said-key-to-requests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/23\/safety-security-said-key-to-requests\/","title":{"rendered":"Safety, security said key to requests"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSafety and security are the main concerns,\u201d Decatur resident Dustin Myers recently told city council as he sought support for a street light and a fence replacement in his neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myers resides at 233 Water St., a short, north-south street which is situated just north of the former county jail on First St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fence in question is in poor condition and Myers asked if the city would split the cost of a replacement.
