Following the mayor&#8217;s announcement, Matt, a nephew of John, thanked the police and fire departments for the funeral procession which traveled the city, including the new roundabout of which John played a key role in getting the project off the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matt also noted that \u201ccity council has been very gracious. The family is very proud of everything done.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s been a long three days.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mayor Rickord, who spoke at Tuesday&#8217;s funeral service, offered praise for the fire and police departments: \u201cIt was a great procession.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John Schultz recently passed away at the age of 76.
