Adams Memorial Hospital has announced that this year’s Mammography Night will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 3-D screenings will be offered from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the radiology department at the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative is organized by the radiology department and its director, Trisha Tester, in an announcement, emphasized the importance of the event, particularly for women who have not had a mammogram in the past five years or have not previously received one at the local hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attendees will not only have access to essential health screenings and education, but will be able to enjoy some relaxation with complimentary refreshments and massages, it was noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement said the cost of the mammogram will be processed through an individual’s insurance plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanks to funding from the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust Grant, eligible individuals who are in financial need may qualify for a free screening, the announcement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All mammograms will be interpreted by board-certified radiologists from Summit Radiology in Fort Wayne, utilizing the latest digital technology for accurate results, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
