The final week of the regular season in high school volleyball is this week and all the teams in Z-Land, now knowing their postseason opponents after Sunday’s draw, will be preparing for next week while keeping an eye on their own conference standings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All four Z-Land teams will be back in action Thursday night, while Adams Central will be the only team playing Saturday when they make their annual trip down to Union County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Adams took the opening set, then lost two nail-biting sets by scores of 28-26 and 27-25 before clawing back into the match against the Panthers to force a fifth, which went all the way to the end at 15-13. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Adams had a much easier time Tuesday when they hosted Union City, winning in straight sets. Taking the match 25-8, 25-5, 25-12, the Starfires got ten kills from Reagan Bollenbacher and five aces from Reagan Beitler. Reece Beitler led the way with eight aces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bellmont Braves kept their unbeaten run in the NE8 intact with a simple, straight-forward victory on the road at Huntington North against the Vikings in three sets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
