{"id":29861,"date":"2025-10-06T05:20:56","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T09:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=29861"},"modified":"2025-10-08T05:22:43","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T09:22:43","slug":"gregory-manning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/06\/gregory-manning\/","title":{"rendered":"Gregory Manning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Greg Manning passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. &nbsp;He was born in Decatur Indiana on March 5, 1958 to William and Constance Manning, and was the middle child with two sisters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/9464946_fbs.jpg?resize=200%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29862\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/9464946_fbs.jpg?w=200&amp;ssl=1 200w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/9464946_fbs.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Greg graduated from South Adams High School, then went on to attend Purdue University where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. &nbsp;His career spanned from time working in Aerospace, to a brief change to massage therapy, then back to the Engineering field he was so passionate about. &nbsp;He built lasting friendships with several classmates from high school and college, and was always willing to share stories about their numerous adventures. &nbsp;Greg loved being with his family, and was known to spend several hours on the phone keeping in touch with those who did not live nearby. &nbsp;He never missed a holiday or birthday dinner with his nieces and nephews, and always looked forward to the annual 4th of July cookout with his cousins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greg is survived by his brother-in-law Jeff Sprunger, Jeff\u2019s children Nikole Sprunger, Mariah (Menno) Eicher, Samantha Sprunger, and Chance (Alex) Sprunger; his sister Brenda (Rick) Shryock, and their children Ryan Shryock and Kylie (Jeong Hwan) Shryock; and many cousins. &nbsp;He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Connie, sister Joni, and nephew-in-law James All.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing &amp; Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
