Marilyn James-Beeler, age 79, a former resident of Portland, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at her home in Decatur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marilyn was born July 21, 1946, in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Norma (Renner) Myers. She married Danny Lee Beeler on October 27, 1979 and he passed away on May 10, 1996. She was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge Auxiliary and Portland Eagles Lodge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her children: Kathleen Beeler (partner Britt) \u2013 Decatur, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nickie Scott \u2013 Portland, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her step-children: Hassie Esparza \u2013 Indianapolis, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tressie Monroe (husband Doug) \u2013 Portland, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tonya Roser (husband Chris) \u2013 Portland, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heidi McGinnis (husband George) \u2013 Portland, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her siblings: Robert Myers (wife Blanche) \u2013 Norwalk, Ohio<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vera Sue McBride (husband Roger) \u2013 Lakeland, Florida<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pam Wianans (husband Dan) \u2013 Decatur, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheryl Dunning \u2013 Portland, Indiana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Myers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. \u2013 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, east of Geneva, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
