The Adams Central Jets continued their remarkable golf season with a berth in next week’s IHSAA regional by taking third place away from the Bellmont Braves by two strokes and advancing the entire team to Noble Hawk next Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The monumental achievement marks the first time an Adams Central golf team – boys or girls – has ever advanced in the IHSAA tournament as a team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Homestead won the event again, beating Norwell by 30 points. The Knights finished 40 strokes ahead of the Jets, who came in at 410. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All three Adams County teams were incredibly close to each other, with South Adams finishing just nine strokes behind the Braves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ella Hockemeyer used a strong front nine to put herself into the regional hunt and she shot a 93 to be the first individual to advance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
