{"id":29342,"date":"2025-09-19T23:04:41","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T03:04:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=29342"},"modified":"2025-09-19T23:04:43","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T03:04:43","slug":"streets-dedicated-in-new-cross-creek-addition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/19\/streets-dedicated-in-new-cross-creek-addition\/","title":{"rendered":"Streets dedicated in new Cross Creek addition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A ordinance dedicating streets and street names in the latest land addition to the Cross Creek subdivision in Decatur was approved by city council at its recent meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A fourth section of the subdivision, the Northfields of Cross Creek, was annexed by the city in November of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annexation had been requested by the property owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"489\" height=\"773\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Plat-Northfields.jpg?resize=489%2C773&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Plat-Northfields.jpg?w=489&amp;ssl=1 489w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Plat-Northfields.jpg?resize=190%2C300&amp;ssl=1 190w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 489px) 100vw, 489px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The area annexed covers 24.4 acres of land at the northwest end of the subdivision, stretching to near the Barrington Woods housing addition on CR 750N.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest addition will have a 25 mph speed limit, as does the rest of the subdivision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new street names are Murfield Court, Augusta Road, and Sawgrass Lane.
