{"id":29182,"date":"2025-09-13T08:12:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-13T12:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/?p=29182"},"modified":"2025-09-13T08:12:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T12:12:19","slug":"bulldogs-growl-to-wrap-up-concert-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wzbd.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/13\/bulldogs-growl-to-wrap-up-concert-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Bulldogs growl to wrap up concert series"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By BOB SHRALUKA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>WZBD.com<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bulldogs band out of Fort Wayne has been a Decatur favorite for a long time and it&#8217;s hardly a surprise, given the enthusiasm and great music the four guys offered up Thursday night on the Madison St. Plaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show and preceding Motorsports Festival wrapped up the Chamber of Commerce&#8217;s 13-concert 2025 series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The double-sided event had been postponed two weeks earlier by a forecast of pending rain. The Bulldogs, as Chamber Executive Director Craig Coshow told the crowd, graciously agreed to come back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"286\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Con-dancing.jpg?resize=640%2C286&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Con-dancing.jpg?w=661&amp;ssl=1 661w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wzbd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Con-dancing.jpg?resize=300%2C134&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Thursday night&#8217;s concert crowd was a bit smaller than it would been expected on the original night, and the number of vehicles for the car show was considerably down \u2013 no surprise given the rescheduling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this time the weather was perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bulldogs rocked the plaza for two and a half hours with their music from the &#8217;50s and &#8217;60s, filling up the dance area in front of the stage \u2013 at times more crowded than it has been at any time during the entire season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was the band&#8217;s eighth consecutive year in the annual Chamber series.
