Bauer has dedicated 26 years of service to Adams Health, demonstrating unwavering compassion and a commitment to resident-centered care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Caregiver of the Year Award recognizes a person working in a skilled nursing facility or an assisted living community who excels in job performance, provides quality, person-centered care, and serves as a role model and mentor to fellow team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her role, Bauer ensures residents receive meals tailored to their nutritional needs. She is a visible and comforting presence at every meal, making sure residents feel cared for and supported. \u201cKaren is a quiet hero of our community,\u201d said Alma Ahmetovic, Executive Director of Adams Woodcrest. \u201cShe does so much for our community and for our residents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bauer is known for her ability to soften the transition for residents moving into the Nursing Center. \u201cI try to put them at ease,\u201d Bauer shared. \u201cIf they are having a bad day, they may just need a hug or smile.
