Her score of 42 on the back nine was also her best nine-hole score of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ella struggled with her ball-striking early,&#8221; said head coach Mike Macke, &#8220;but her scoring was decent. Three of the five started with a double par on their first hole, and Morgan started with two doubles and a triple. However, they kept at it and things improved,&#8221; noted Macke. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The long-time coach noted that the course conditions were &#8220;terrible&#8221; with Foster Park undergoing major construction this summer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The fairways had cracks and dead areas,&#8221; he said, &#8221; the greens were burned and spotty.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heritage finished with a season-best team score as well, taking 14th with a 423.
