Friday night’s non-conference match between DeKalb and South Adams was won easily by the Barons at Wabash Valley, but the home Starfires still had several impressive rounds to take home as a consolation prize. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paige Williams navigated the Front Nine in Geneva well for the Barons, shooting a meet-best 39 to take medalist honors. DeKalb won with a team score of 170. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Adams No. 1 Brooklyn Green shot her best round of the year on her home course, finishing with a 48. Teammate Kendall Minger cut five strokes from her round earlier in week for her best nine holes of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Starfires will return to action across state lines when they play at Fort Recover Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
