Big Brothers Big Sisters is a community-based program that recruits, screens, and trains adult volunteers to mentor children who are experiencing difficulties such as living in poverty, being from single parent homes, having challenging or strained family relations, or children who have academic or behavioral problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BBBS organization has several different program options where a mentor can sign up to meet with their match for a monthly casual outing, an hour once a week at the child\u2019s school, to providing more intensive support and guidance for education planning and successful transition into adulthood.
