<\/figure>\n\n\n\nTed was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sheri Hess, on April 28, 1973, and she preceded him in death on September 25, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He had worked at Fisher\u2019s Electric in New Haven, Indiana and previously was employed at Strick in Monroe, Indiana. He also transported Amish in the Monroe community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ted was a man of many trades and a master of none. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved to spend time with his family on vacations and camping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by two sons, Jeremey L. \u201cJake\u201d Mankey and James R. (Kara) Mankey both of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Megan (Rusty) Adam of Convoy, Ohio; sister, Erika (Stefan) Schotten of Germany; brother, Paul E. (Sue) Mankey of Decatur, Indiana; brother, David A. Mankey of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sister, Peggy A. (Randy) Fennig of Decatur, Indiana;brother, Arthur R. (Sue) Mankey of Van Wert, Ohio; sister, Dianna M. (Donald) Budd of Alabama; sister, Nan K. Everett of Decatur, Indiana; brother, John W. Mankey of Decatur, Indiana;10 grandchildren: Allie (Nick) Gosdzinski; Macy Mankey, Cody Beer, Makenzie, Mason, Maddy, Maelee & Maverik Mankey and Ellie & Aiden Adam; two great-grandchildren, Oakley Onion and Abigail Gosdzinski; and his faithful four-legged companion, Holly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Mankey; brother-in-law, Randy Everett; nephew, Trevor Mankey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Family and friends will be received from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
