Homestead, Bishop Dwenger, Canterbury and Blackhawk Christian dominated Friday’s IHSAA golf sectional at Chestnut Hills, with the Spartans winning by 24 strokes over Dwenger. Canterbury took third with a 309 and Blackhawk settled for the consolation prize of taking all three advancing individuals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top four teams carded the best 18 scores, with Woodlan’s Grant Grabes the first player to make the list with an 83. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heritage’s top player, Luke Ripple, shot an excellent round of 88 (44-44) to pace the Patriots, who finished in 10th place in the 12-team field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ripple made two birdies – on the 2nd and 12th holes – to help him to his 88. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
