After beating one of the most synonymous schools with high school tennis in Fort Wayne in Canterbury on Friday, the Adams Central faced an even tougher challenge when they squared off against the Homestead Spartans on Monday, falling in straight sets across the board, 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spartans beat Canterbury in last year’s sectional finals by a 5-0 sweep, an identical scoreline to the Jets’ loss in their own championship against the Norwell Knights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jets found the most success at the No. 1 doubles match, with Macy McClure and Alexa Brotherton winning six games. The rest of the team won just two varsity games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junior varsity team for the Jets did score a close victory over Homestead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
